A British television presenter, journalist and debuting actress, best known as a presenter for show called; TV-am, and later GMTV and ITV Breakfast, on Daybreak ,and Lorraine, Lorraine Kelly was born on 30th November, year 1959 in the place called Gorbals, situated in Glasgow, United Kingdom. She is about the age of 56 till this date. She is of Irish ethnicity. Her father, is John who worked as a television repairman. She spent the first few years of in Glasgow but later the family moved to place named East Kilbride ,where she attended her high school named Claremont High School. She didn’t attend the university because she wanted to read English and Russian in favor of a job on the East Kilbride News, which is a local newspaper, and then joined BBC Scotland as a researcher in the year 1983. She moved to TV-am as an on-screen reporter covering all Scottish news in the year 1984.

With her hardwork and keen interests she has been honored and awarded many times. In April year 1991, she was awarded the TRIC Diamond Jubilee Award for New Talent of the Year. In the year 2004, she was elected as the first female Rector of the University of Dundee, being formally installed to office which was on 28th April year 2004. She held this position until the year 2007. On 20th June year 2008, she was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws from the University for her services to charity as we have mentioned. With all that responsibilities comes a huge burden so she can’t focus on her own. From different sources, she says that she was a real disco queen in the year 1980s. Now, she and her partner named Maxine, have now collaborated on a DVD,named Living To The Max, in which dancers from the two classes are shown being put through their paces.
