Teddy Riley has truly made a name for himself, he is acknowledged to the world as The King of New Jack Swing Teddy Riley is an American singer, songwriter, keyboardist, musician and record producer. Riley was born on October 8, 1967, in Harlem New York. While growing up he used to spend most of his childhood in a studio The Rooftop. At the age of 17, he produced "Go See the Doctor”, it was his first production. Well, the song was a crossover hit and it was released on an independent label in 1986. The song peaked at #89 on The Billboard’s Hot 100. In 1987, he formed a group with Timmy Gatling, Riley, and Aaron Hall and named it R&B group Guy. Collaboratively, they produced I Want Her, My Prerogative, and Just Got Paid. His 1st major mainstream hit song Brown’s "My Prerogative". He blended infused his own unique blend of R&B progressions, hip-hop beats, to create the archetypal new jack swing sound. He produced "I Get the Job done" and worked for James Ingram, The Winans, and The Jacksons. He created highly remix of “Don’t Wanna Fall in Love”. In 1992’s film he contributed to the “Fern Gully: The Last Rainforest” soundtrack with the song "Land of a Thousand Dances". Before the band split up, he moved his music operations to Virginia Beach, where he place up his own Future Recording Studio and produced hit songs and video.

Riley co-produced Jackson’s album “Dangerous” which featured “Jam”, “Remember of the Rain” and “In the Closet”. This album sold over 32 million copies it was a massive hit. In 1992, the Guy band was disbanded so he moved to production with Wreckx-N-Effect’s for Hard or Smooth. He smashed hit single “Rump Shaker”. He formed 2nd group Black Street which gave major hits "Don't Leave Me", “Girlfriend/ Boyfriend”, “No Dignity”. Furthermore, he worked with Spice Girl Melanie B on 3 songs – "I Believe", "ABC 123," and "Pack Your S**t"—for her solo debut album entitled “Hot”. He has co-produced album’s track “Teeth” featuring Lady Gaga. To taste new experience he apparently worked with Korean artist Jay Park. He produced “Demon” and made a new mini album for RaNia.
