Margaret Mountford born on 24 November 1951 is a British lawyer cum businesswoman and moreover a television personality widely known for her role in the popular show called the apprentice. She has become very old now as she is of the age 64 at present. She studied her early education at a grammar school called Strathearn School located in Belfast. Then, she studied at Girton College in the Cambridge city. She did not just leave her education. Later, Mountford had a Ph.D. degree at University College London in the year 2012.
Mountford worked as a lawyer in the beginning for some years alongside Herbert Smith. Then, she started working as a non-executive director at Georgia and Amstrad. She chairs the governor’s board of a Church of the England Comprehensive School called St Marylebone. Mountford also chairs the organization called Bright Ideas Trust. This institution was the mastermind of Tim Campbell, also known as the first apprentice winner and they help young unemployed people to start businesses. She was the advisor of the show until 2009 and in June and she made an announcement that she was going to leave the show in Series 5 in order to pursue a Ph.D. degree. In 2013, Mountford co-presented a documentary by BBC One along with Hewer called We All Pay Your Benefits. In October in the same year, she presented another documentary from BBC Two entitled Groundbreakers: Ulster’s Forgotten Radical that mainly focused on the 19th-century women’s rights campaigns. Likewise, she has also presented other various documentaries in the BBC.
Regarding her marital life, Mountford was married to Richard Mountford in 1973. The relationship was going pretty well but sadly the relationship between the husband and wife came to an end in 1990 after 17 years of marriage. She also has a child from Robert Mountford.
