Erick Morillo is Colombian-American Dj, record label owner and music producer. He is best known for his international work in the house music, and hit song “I Like to Move It”. One of his label Subliminal records produced song “Fun” hitting the top place on Billboard Hot dance Music. He was honor with “Remixer of the Year” award. He won thrice the award of the winner of DJ Award and also the “Best International DJ”.
Morillo was born on 26 March 1971 in New York. This makes him age 45 years. He stands tall with the height of 5ft 7 inch. Growing up in Colombia led him to earn interest in the meringue and salsa music. Apart from these he was influenced by hip hop and reggae music. When he was 11, he initiated to work DJing in wedding of his friends and families. In order to sharpen his skills he took studio engineering courses for Media Arts. He worked at Love Sexy music lounge where he met El General. They became good friends and collaborated to bring the single, “Muevelo” and techno single “Anasthasia” which was astonishingly hit and went platinum. In1993 Morillo gave the biggest hit “The New Anthem”/”Funky Buddha”, well the song did well in the chart and Billboard’s Hot 100. Later that year his label released two songs, “I Like to Move It”, it made Morillo a millionaire. This thrust him into a globe-trotting life he won weekly trips to Europe.
The succes made Morillo way too excited as he came up with his debut album Move It! In1996, the series followed as he gave us another good number” Mueve la Cadera” which means Move Your Body.

Its success boosted up his confidence. He went on to the US tour and signed in guest spots to Darren Emerson, Mark Farina, Bob Siclar and many more. Across the globe he has hosted various other club nights’ likely Subliminal Sessions parties at Champs in New York, at Pacha in Ibiza, the annual Crowbar party in Miami. At the Pacha Ibiza awards Morillo was crowned “Best House DJ” in 1999 and 2001 and “Best International DJ” in 2002. In 2004, Morillo released My World featuring Diddy Combs. Some of his big remixes are, “Energy Is Magic”, “Flip It”, King of Hearts, Born Too Slow, and cool singles includes Thunder & Lightning”, “I Want You”, “Bang”, Life Goes On, Distortion and many more.
In 2012, he got hitched to model girlfriend Yasmin Sait-Armstrong Morillo. He married her and the couple is looking forward to lifetime togetherness. His wife works as a model. The way they look to each other proves that they will be together for really long time and won’t get divorce. This shows that he isn’t gay.
